EFPP Finland
The European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy – Suomen kansallinen verkosto ry – Finlands nationella nätverk rf is the Finnish national network of organisations and of these educated psychotherapists within psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Its objectives are to support and develop psychoanalytic psychotherapy in Finland. EFPP in Finland is a national member within the The European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (EFPP) established in 1991. The EFPP is a European umbrella organisation within psychoanalytic psychotherapy in countries within the EU as well as in related countries.
The EFPP represents some 13,000 psychoanalytic psychotherapists and has national member networks in 30 countries: Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Republic of Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The United Kingdom, Ukraine and Turkey. The following countries have been accepted for associate member status: Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Latvia. Sections in Moldavia have observer status.
EFPP strives to support the availability and development of psychoanalytic psychotherapy and their applications above all within the public mental health sector. European training standards for psychoanalytic psychotherapists have been set up within the segments of adult, child and adolescent, group and couple and family psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
